Dr. Kim Flickinger

Dr. Kim Flickinger grew up in central Iowa. From a very young age she had a love of animals and a desire to be able to help them. She is a fourth generation veterinarian following her great grandfather, grandfather, and uncle into their profession. Dr. Flickinger graduated from Iowa State University College of Medicine in 2001. Upon graduation she was accepted into a one year rotating internship program at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey. She continued her training at GSVS for another year focusing on internal medicine before returning to the midwest. After her training, Dr. Flickinger began working at the Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities. She worked as an emergency veterinarian for six years before coming to work at Glenroads Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Flickinger and her husband, Bruce, enjoy outdoor activites with their two children. Their family also includes their rescue dog Sierra, and two cats Emily and Lily.
